We are a professionally managed company evolved from eGovernment Foundation (www.egovernments.org), which was launched in 2003 by two of the top-notch technocrats, Nandan Nilekani and Srikant Nadhumuni, with a noble vision to bring about social change through technology. Background

Government is the largest customer of IT products and services (35%) in India. A combination of poor governance and public service delivery coupled by a number of pilot e-governance projects led by the IT boom in India has resulted in a rapidly growing eGovernance market. Given the huge potential to impact social change as well as to monetize on this opportunity, Governation was founded in June 2009 to productize the solutions created by eGov Foundation and accelerate the pace of progress in implementing these solutions across Urban, Rural, and Educational sectors of the Government.

Governation will leverage the eGovernance technology platform, in-depth domain understanding, deep networks in the Governments and its existing client base to drive adoption in various sectors of the Government.

Governation has a very focused go-to-market plan for its eGovernance products in the Urban, Rural and Education sectors of Indian local and state governments. Offering complimentary services such as customization, implementation and O&M as well as consulting, policy formulation, planning and eGovernance/IT strategies to various government bodies will create a recurring revenue stream to software licenses. Through large-scale coverage across state/local bodies, we work towards creating high quality data on citizens, groups/communities, land & properties, and maps that are the essential data infrastructure to drive good governance.
